Thomas
R. Smart, III, works with a variety
of mid-market business owners, providing first-hand insight into the
intricacies of the business sale, and solutions that maximize profits.
From comprehensive valuation services and identification of qualified
buyers, to deal structuring and negotiation, Smart guides clients through
the necessary steps to realizing their business goals. Smart also plays a
significant role in IBG’s operations and business development strategy,
having spearheaded recruitment, marketing, and process development
initiatives that proved instrumental in IBG’s substantial growth.
Smart joined the IBG Business Services team in 1992, after successfully
selling the training and service company he founded four years earlier.
Prior to running his own business, Smart worked in the securities industry
handling stock and warrant transactions for small-to-medium sized
companies.
Smart takes pride in the collective know-how of the IBG team, and the
value it brings to clients:

A University of Florida graduate, Smart has lived in Denver since 1982 and
is a licensed Colorado real estate broker and former licensed securities
registered representative. A certified PADI open water scuba instructor,
Smart enjoys scuba diving, tennis and golf in his free time.
